Deep Water Training
This advanced training program meets the standards of the Divers
Certification Board of Canada and is recognized by IMCA. This advanced certification is offered upon completion of the Air/Mixed Gas program and is open to all graduates of ACDE-accredited schools and active commercial divers based on an assessment by the school Director.
This is a two-week program that runs 10 hours a day for 14 consecutive days at our Deep Water Training Center in Ocala, Florida. Candidates will dive daily performing a multitude of tasks at increasing depths throughout the program. Their skills will be enhanced by specific projects at the various depths, including in-water decompression and open bell diving. Captain Ray Black, a Bell/Sat Diving Supervisor, oversees all aspects of this training. Each candidate will experience dives up to 165 feet and log a minimum of 14 hours of bottom time.

The Deep Water Training Center is an all-inclusive, state-of-the-art
diving resort. The Center has a hyperbaric chamber, a mixed gas
blending station, digital video monitoring system, a hot-water
system and an open bell. The facility located on five acres, with on-site
lodging, cafeteria providing 3 meals a day, 7 days a week, a
recreational area with picnic tables and a complete dive store. The
lodging and meal plan are included in the tuition.
Length of Course
The program of Study at Commercial Diving Academy requires a minimum of 2 weeks. The maximum number of weeks a student may participate in training is 3 weeks.
